Offshore boat dive with current-sensitive timing; local Tioman guides are the practical way to dive it.
Chebeh East is an offshore Tioman boat dive built around a large boulder, coral-covered rockwork, and several swim-throughs. The site is more dramatic than Tioman's easier shallow reefs, with hard and soft coral, glassfish pockets, and schooling fish working the structure. It suits divers who are comfortable with deeper water and stronger current windows, and local boat timing matters more here than at the sheltered inner reefs. On a good day it delivers one of the island's most photogenic coral-and-boulder scenes.

Depth range, seasonality, and planning context.
Depth Note
The site runs around a large offshore boulder with swim-through sections and a deeper reef profile than Tioman's training reefs.
Best Season
March to May and September to November, when offshore visibility is usually best.
Typical Conditions
Offshore coral-and-boulder site with swim-throughs and moderate to strong currents; best when the sea is settled and the boat team can time the run.
Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.
Key Hazards
Safety Notes
The swim-throughs are overhead sections; keep buoyancy tight, maintain spacing, and respect current windows.
Access Restrictions
Boat access only; plan around operator scheduling and current windows.
Legal Notes
Tioman Marine Park waters are protected; follow park rules and operator guidance.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Expect a boat dive over rock formations, coral gardens, and swim-throughs; it suits divers comfortable with current and controlled buoyancy.
Snorkeling
Not a primary snorkel site; the deeper reef profile and current windows make it a scuba-first boat dive.
