Fihali Fara is a tide-sensitive channel-entry dive in Addu that rewards careful timing. Plan the drop for slack or incoming water, because the current can build quickly at the mouth of the channel. The top reef is mostly rocky, with coral blocks, gorgonians, and mushroom corals, while the sand and reef edge can bring nurse sharks, whitetip reef sharks, rays, and mixed reef fish. This is a boat dive best suited to experienced divers who are comfortable reading conditions and sticking to the boat plan. When the tide lines up, it offers a clean mix of structure, current, and marine life without a long or complicated approach.
