Alex'S Cave

Shallow boat-access Comino cave with easy overhead scenery.

Usually dived by boat from Crystal Lagoon as a short shallow cavern route; depth is forgiving, but overhead etiquette still matters more than raw conditions.

About Alex'S Cave

Alex's Cave is a short shallow cave route off Comino's Crystal Lagoon, entered from a boat and followed through a bright tunnel system with seagrass, pale rock walls, and easy overhead navigation for divers already comfortable with basic cavern discipline. The site is not deep or technically complex, but it still rewards good buoyancy and light use because the appeal comes from the cave geometry, filtered blue light, and small cave life such as bream, morays, congers, octopus, and occasional nudibranchs.

Safety Notes

Although Alex's Cave is shallow and often treated as an easy introduction to overhead scenery, it is still a cave-style route. Divers should carry a light, hold position carefully over the floor, and avoid entering if surge or visibility make the tunnel uncomfortable.

Access Restrictions

Usually accessed by dive boat inside Crystal Lagoon; direct shore logistics are awkward and not the normal way operators run the site.
