Boat-only advanced dive at Cozumel's south end, usually scheduled only when weather and current cooperate because entry, depth, and drift pace are less forgiving than mid-island reefs.

About Maracaibo

Maracaibo is Cozumel's remote far-southern wall dive, starting in exposed blue water before settling onto sponge-covered wall sections and the arch that make the site a special advanced drift. Long boat runs, deep profiles, and stronger open-water conditions separate it from the island's easier reefs, but the payoff is clear water and regular chances of seeing turtles, eagle rays, nurse sharks, and large reef fish moving along the wall.
