Boat-only Bay of Islands drift dive for experienced scuba divers, combining a steep wall, strong current, and pelagic fish life in an exposed offshore setting.

About The Dog

The Dog is an advanced Bay of Islands drift along the western side of an island where current pushes divers beside a steep, colourful wall. The site is known for gorgonian-covered rock, a black coral tree near the deeper section, and fast-moving schooling fish that stack up in the flow. It is a committing dive that rewards confident drift procedures, sharp buoyancy control, and comfort in blue water while watching for pelagics and the occasional shark moving through the current line.
