Parcel
Parcel: offshore rocky-bank dive with good visibility
Parcel is a boat-only offshore bank with rocky passages, good visibility, and enough depth for varied route choices rather than a shallow shore dive.
About Parcel
Parcel is an offshore boat dive off Viana do Castelo, about four nautical miles from the bar, where a rocky bank of slabs and blocks is split by passages that open up different routes and profiles. It is usually a good-visibility site with sponges, sea fans, congers, seabream, and other rocky-bank life, and the open-water setting means boat timing matters.

Scuba Diving
Scuba divers should plan a boat dive that uses the slabs and blocks as route markers rather than a single straight pass. Good buoyancy helps you work the passages cleanly and keep the best fishy sections in view.
Freediving
Not a casual freedive pick. The offshore setting and working depths make it much more of a scuba site.
Snorkeling
Not a primary snorkel site. The bank starts at working dive depths and is better suited to scuba than casual surface watching.
