Montañas Rusas is a series of shoals and cuts that create a pronounced up-and-down profile during the dive. The formations rise to around 12 m from a deeper seabed at about 30 m. The pinnacle walls are perforated with holes that shelter lobsters and Mediterranean slipper lobster, and the area is also home to groupers, including golden grouper.
