Boat-access east pinnacle with coral and reef fish
Boat-access east pinnacle with coral and reef fish
Hin Pleng East is the eastern half of Rayong's two-pinnacle offshore site, a boat-only rocky seamount with coral growth on the top and walls, schooling reef fish, and a compact loop around the rock once you are in the water. It suits guided dives that can adapt to changing flow from one side of the pinnacle to the other, and it rewards steady buoyancy over the coral sections on calmer days.
Conservative baseline from public research. No community dives logged yet.
Depth range, seasonality, and planning context.
Reported Depth
5m - 25m
Depth Note
References place the usable range from shallow coral topography to roughly 18-25m across the pinnacle, depending on the route and source.
Best Season
November to April, especially January to April.
Typical Conditions
Boat-based offshore pinnacle diving with coral cover, schooling fish, and variable current; the main season is the most reliable window.

Site Conditions
Safety Notes
Stay close to the guide, watch the current on each side of the rock, and keep buoyancy tight over coral and anemone-covered sections.
Access Restrictions
Boat access only; use a guided day trip, and expect service to stop in the May-September monsoon period.
Legal Notes
Standard boat-dive and marine rules apply.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Guided boat divers are the right fit. The site works best when you can follow the rock and adjust to side-to-side current changes rather than forcing a fixed route.
Freediving
Not a primary freedive target; boat access and current swings make scuba the better fit.
Snorkeling
Not a primary snorkel target; the useful terrain sits on the offshore pinnacle rather than a protected shallow bay.
