Portmellon is a sheltered Cornish bay near Mevagissey that works well for easy shore diving and snorkeling when the tide and weather line up. The most interesting areas are the left and right sides of the bay, where kelp and rocky habitat support a mix of wrasse, gobies, spider crabs, jellyfish, pipefish, starfish, anemones, and the occasional seal.
