The Mohegan wreck lies approximately ten minutes from Porthkerris. This 482-foot luxury liner, with a gross tonnage of 6,889, sank in 1898 after colliding with the Manacles under unclear circumstances. Divers should plan their dives during slack tide or on weak neap tides for optimal conditions. The site is home to various marine life, including gorgonian fans, Dead Man’s Fingers, jewel anemones, conger eels, flatfish, and anglerfish.
