Bridge Span 12 is part of an artificial reef created from the old Hathaway Bridge spans that once connected Panama City to Panama City Beach. The original bridge was built in 1929, and 14 spans were sunk in 1988. Divers can expect typical Gulf of Mexico fish life, including stingrays, snapper, triggerfish, hogfish, and the possibility of seeing sharks such as sandbar, blacknose, and bonnethead.
