Boat-access wall dive at Saipan’s southern tip.
Boat-access wall dive at Saipan’s southern tip.
Boat access and the south-side run make a local Saipan operator the practical default.
Naftan is a boat-access wall dive on Saipan’s southern tip, where a coral shelf drops into clear blue water. The top of the wall starts around the reef edge and then falls away sharply, so the dive feels like a long look along structure rather than a flat swim. It works best when the sea is calm enough for an easy boat run and when divers are comfortable following the wall into deeper water. Coral formations, gorgonians, and big pelagic sightings keep the site lively.

Snorkeling
Snorkeling is only a secondary option near the top of the wall in perfect conditions; the site is built for scuba.
