Hospital Hole is Weeki Wachee's deep freshwater sink.
Hospital Hole is a flooded freshwater sinkhole in the Weeki Wachee River, reached from Roger's Park by boat or canoe because the riverbank is privately owned. The dive drops through a broad hydrogen sulfide layer into a deep cavern and sink, so planning centers on river current, boat traffic and staying above the deeper cave section unless you are properly trained. It is a deep, restricted-access site with a local healing-fish legend and seasonal manatee use rather than a casual shore-entry dive.
