Wreck Varese is the Italian steam freighter off Pula in Istria, lying upright in the Adriatic with a broken bow, an intact hull, and enough structure to make guided penetration worthwhile for trained wreck divers. It is a classic deep wreck dive rather than a casual sightseeing stop: you plan the site by boat, keep your buoyancy disciplined around the hull, and use the wreck as an artificial reef where conger eels, scorpionfish, wrasse, and other fish hold position in the sheltered metalwork.
