Maui is diveable year-round. Mornings are typically calmer before trades rise to 20.0 kph to 35.0 kph. North swells dominate Nov-Mar and can shut down West and North Maui snorkeling. Humpbacks fill the basin Dec-Apr with strict approach limits. Summer brings occasional south swells to Makena and Olowalu.
