Getting There

Fly into Kahului Airport (OGG), Maui’s primary airport with mainland and interisland flights. West Maui’s Kapalua Airport (JHM) has commuter service, mainly via Honolulu. Hana (HNM) handles small interisland flights.

Getting Around

Rental cars offer the most flexibility. Maui Bus serves main corridors daily with limited airport service. Rideshare and taxis operate in resort areas. Reserve parking or timed entry for certain state parks.

Entry Requirements

Hawaii is a U.S. state. Domestic U.S. travelers do not need passports. Visa Waiver Program nationals need ESTA approval before boarding U.S.-bound flights. All travelers departing Hawaii to the mainland must clear USDA agricultural inspection.
