Season planner for Sesimbra

Sesimbra is diveable year-round, but conditions change fast because you are on the open Atlantic. Water is coolest in winter (often around 14°C), and usually warmest in late summer (often around 20°C). Spring and early autumn can bring a sweet spot: workable seas, fewer crowds, and good topside temperatures. Winter brings more rain and stormy swell, while summer can bring northerly wind that roughens exposed sites. Plan a flexible schedule and let local operators steer you toward the best-protected bay or the best Cape Espichel window.
