Keeper Reef
Keeper Reef, off Townsville, is a coral-garden dive with ridges and bommies that create a maze-like layout to explore. The site stays shallow, reaching about 16 m at most, and is suited to divers who enjoy navigating through varied reef structure. Marine life can include schooling fusiliers along with coral trout, rabbitfish, batfish, turtles, and whitetip reef sharks. Crayfish, rock cods, squirrelfish, shrimp, sweetlips, and barramundi cod are also reported.
