La Corniza
About La Corniza
In the northern sector of the island, a reef platform drops into a wall ranging from 8 to 21 meters. The descent passes coral ledges over limestone and sandy bottoms. Black whip corals cover the wall and small pencil shrimps can be seen among them. Nurse sharks are frequently encountered along the ledges, and stingrays are commonly found on the sandy bottom around 21 meters.
