Hatsushima is an inhabited island off the coast of Atami in Shizuoka Prefecture, reached by a short ferry ride. Dive access includes both beach diving after crossing the island and boat diving. The site is known for macro life such as nudibranchs and shrimp, with the possibility of encountering cat sharks and scorpion sharks. In winter, “danglers” are also seen.
