Sheltered east-coast reef with plateau, wall, and macro life.
Sheltered east-coast reef with plateau, wall, and macro life.
Karang Sari is an east-coast Nusa Penida boat dive with a broad coral plateau that breaks into a stepped slope and wall. In ordinary conditions it feels more sheltered than many nearby drift sites, which makes it useful for slower reef exploration, macro hunting, and relaxed route planning when the tides line up. Turtles, morays, reef fish, and occasional larger passersby keep the blue water off the reef edge interesting, but the site still changes with current, swell, and day-to-day visibility.
