About Bridges of Ross
Bridges of Ross is a rugged Loop Head shore dive built around broken limestone walls, gullies and the narrow crack that leads to the underwater bridges. The normal plan is a surface swim out into the bay, then a descent onto the wall before working toward the arches and overhangs. It is a geology-first site for experienced divers, and the route is far easier on calm weather with a well-timed slack tide. Kelp, crabs, congers and wrasse make the dive feel busy once you settle into it.
