Technical Giannutri wall with caves and rich fish life.
Technical Giannutri wall with caves and rich fish life.
Punta Pennello is the west-tip Giannutri wall for divers who want a technical, structure-rich boat dive. A broad shelf drops into a broken wall with caves, crevices, and ledges wrapped in gorgonians, sponges, and Posidonia. The site rewards good buoyancy and current awareness more than depth chasing, with roomy lines out over the wall and a more committed return once the flow picks up. Expect barracuda schools and a mix of reef fish and crustaceans in a protected marine-park setting.

Scuba Diving
Best approached as a boat-dropped wall dive: follow the shelf, work the caves and ledges, and plan the return with current in mind.
Freediving
Not a freedive-first site; depth and current make it much better suited to scuba.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is limited to the calmer shallow fringe and is secondary to the scuba profile.
