Jogashima: bridge-access island diving with walls and macro life
Jogashima is a bridge-accessed island dive area at the tip of the Miura Peninsula, known for shore and boat dives with dramatic walls, overhangs, and rock layers. The island is directly hit by the Kuroshio Current, which brings pelagic fish through the area and keeps the macro scene lively. Its closeness to Tokyo makes it a popular day-trip choice, but visibility is often limited and the best dives reward slow, careful planning.

Freediving
Only the calmest shallow shore water is suitable; this area is mainly a scuba macro destination.
Snorkeling
Shallow shore areas can work on calm days, but Jogashima is much better known for scuba macro than for snorkeling.
