About Macro Mania
Macro Mania is a Mabul-area macro and muck dive for photographers who want to slow down over sand, rubble, reef edge, tires, roots, and small wreck features. The appeal is critter density: frogfish, seahorses, pipefish, octopus, cuttlefish, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, shrimp, and turtles can all reward a patient guide-led search. It is shallow to moderate by Semporna standards, but excellent buoyancy, careful finning, and a no-touch approach are essential around fragile subjects and small habitat patches.
