About Maafilaa
Maafilaa is a Lhaviyani Atoll reef and thila-style boat dive for divers who enjoy small reef life as much as blue-water passes. The reef slopes gently and holds mantis shrimp, octopus, scorpionfish, lobsters, butterflyfish, snappers, unicornfish, glassfish, and hunting trevallies, while grey reef sharks and eagle rays may pass on the outside. It is approachable in mild conditions, but the exact route should follow the guide's read of current, visibility, and the most active side of the reef.
