De Val is a quiet shore dive near the Zeeland Bridge with clay banks, oyster beds, overgrown rocks, and a bottom that slopes away quickly from the seawall. It is a saltwater site where careful entry and calm wind matter more than depth, and the reward is a busy little patch of life on the clay and sandy side. When conditions are good, it is a straightforward local dive with crabs, shrimp, snappers, cuttlefish, and catfish hiding in the banks and burrows.
