About Sandy Cove
Sandy Cove is a sheltered shore dive at Oudekraal on Cape Town's Atlantic side. It has a sandy bottom, granite boulders, and a few small caves and swim-throughs around the rock edge. It is a classic beginner site for open-water training, refresher dives, and calm-day freediving or snorkeling. When the water is settled, the kelp fringe and outer rocks can show nudibranchs, rays, small fish, moon jellies, and the occasional fur seal.
