Dive site located very close to the port entrance at La Restinga, positioned near the buoys of the Mar de las Calmas Marine Reserve. It lies just outside the port area, making it a convenient nearby spot. Marine life sightings include moray eels, groupers, parrotfish, barred hogfish, horse mackerel, and eagle rays.

Punta Restinga

The dive follows a broad, relatively flat plateau around 20 m before reaching the edge of a drop-off that extends beyond 40 m in places. The route then tracks along the wall, where there are caves, crevices, and several canyons, before ascending back to the plateau and returning to the mooring point. Marine life includes white trevallies, island groupers, large dusky groupers, and schools of seabream. The many cracks and holes can also shelter moray eels, lobsters, and pufferfish.

The dive starts with a descent in shallow water (under 10 m) and continues gradually deeper across rocky ridges and neighboring ravines. At greater depth the bottom becomes more even, with broad sandy areas. A shallow cave is a highlight and can shelter marine life, making it a worthwhile stop during the dive.

The dive follows a lava tongue with a sandy bottom along its eastern side. On the return/shallower portion along the western side, the rock can be explored for small crevices and sheltered spots. In the sandy area, garden eels and stingrays can be seen, with occasional angelsharks during the colder season. Ocean triggerfish are frequently encountered, and there are colonies of Palitoa coral.

This dive follows a ravine that slopes gradually deeper from a mooring point, leading to a vertical wall. Just beyond 30 m there is a small cave, with light-colored sand along the seabed near the drop-off. The wall is covered with sponges, and divers may encounter anemones and stingrays, along with island groupers. To the east there is an extensive colony of Palitoa coral.
