About El Rincón, El Hierro
El Rincón, El Hierro is the first and closest site to La Restinga harbour, set on the inner wall of the Dumbéa pass beside the Mar de las Calmas reserve buoys. The dive starts around the dock-side wall and gradually drops through sand and small caves, making it a compact drift with easier current than many of the island's larger walls. Moray eels, groupers, parrotfish, eagle rays, and other fish life are common, and the calm port-side access makes it a useful warm-up or first reserve dive.
