About Renco

Renco is a shallow coral bommie on Zanzibar's north-west coast, built around a clean reef profile and lots of small-life hiding places. The site stays useful because the bommie still holds a varied mix of coral and reef fish despite some fishing damage, and the shallow top makes it a good fit for easy scuba, freediving, and calm-day snorkeling. Frogfish, pipefish, octopus, and shrimps are the headline macro subjects, while the reef itself gives relaxed, close-up terrain rather than a big sweeping wall.
