Cocos West is a boat-accessed drift dive on the west side of Cocos Island, where a gently sloping wall drops away into clearer water and fish-rich coral beds. Mushroom corals, whip corals, reef sharks, rays, and turtles make it a good fit for divers who like current, bigger marine life, and a morning start. Morning entries are usually the cleanest plan because the site rewards steady buoyancy and a calm drift line more than a rushed crossing.
