Main caution: Surface chop can add a little more texture on exposed entries.

Roman cargo, Adriatic walls, quiet coves, and two islands of striking contrast
Overview
Rab and Pag make a rewarding land-based Adriatic dive trip because one itinerary can combine archaeology, walls, caverns, macro habitat, training water, beaches, and serious topside variety. Pag's signature dives include the deep Letavica Roman amphora field, Tegule roof tiles, Maun's gorgonian walls, and sheltered seagrass at Strasko. Rab adds the light-filled Prvic Tunnel, Sv. Grgur Canyon, steep Silo, island walls, wrecks, and the special-certification Medova Buza cave.
This is not a liveaboard destination. Travelers normally stay on one or both islands and dive with local centers by shore or day boat. June through September is the easiest all-round window, while May and October suit experienced visitors comfortable with cooler water and more variable departures. Non-divers get an unusually strong parallel trip: Rab Old Town and sandy Lopar, Pag's Life on Mars coast, the Lun olive reserve, local food traditions, kayaking, and hiking.
Rab contributes caves, canyons, wreck routes, medieval atmosphere, and sandy family beaches. Pag contributes Roman underwater archaeology, gorgonian walls, seagrass habitat, and stark limestone hiking.
Letavica, Tegule, and the Vlaska Mala amphora site preserve Roman cargo underwater. Access and behavior are controlled, and every artifact stays where it lies.

Easy beach training at Strasko and shallow Rab sites can sit in the same week as Advanced wall, wreck, and cavern profiles. Medova Buza remains a separately qualified overhead dive.
Non-divers can use Rab Old Town, Lopar's shallow beaches, the Dundo forest, the Lun olive reserve, and Pag's Life on Mars trail while divers are offshore.
