Broughton Island The Looking Glass
Boat-dived crack-through channel on Broughton Island with grey nurse sharks.
Local operator required
Local boats handle the passage timing, site choice, and shark-habitat briefing.
Broughton Island's Looking Glass combines a narrow channel, an outer wall, and shark-habitat rules, so timing and guide briefings matter.
About Broughton Island The Looking Glass
The Looking Glass is Broughton Island's signature boat dive: a crack through the island that creates a dramatic channel and adjacent wall. The route is usually entered by anchor line or a short surface swim, and the best dives happen on sunny slack-tide windows when surge stays manageable. Grey nurse sharks are the headline draw, with clear-water light, sponge-covered structure, and reef life along the passage and wall.
