Usually dived by boat from East End, Babylon starts on a shallow terrace and quickly becomes a dramatic wall, so buoyancy, gas, and current awareness matter.

About Babylon Wall

Babylon Wall sits off Grand Cayman's north-east corner, where a shallow reef terrace breaks into a dramatic wall lined with plate coral, black coral, sea fans, and large sponges. The route mixes coral fingers and sandy cuts before the reef falls away into clear blue water, giving the site its classic Cayman wall feel. Divers come here for the sense of space as much as the reef life. Queen angelfish, parrotfish, barracuda, morays, rays, and turtles are regular sightings, and conditions are usually best when the boat can drop divers directly onto the terrace before they work the edge of the wall.
