About Geos Ridge

Geos Ridge is a boat-accessed ridge system off Quepos where rocky fingers and crevices create a lively Pacific reef dive. The shallower ridge tops are easy to read, while the outer edge drops away and can pull in enough current to keep the site moving. Soft coral, sponge growth, and schools of fish give the dive structure, with sharks, turtles, jacks, snappers, and morays among the regular draws. It works best when you are comfortable diving with current and following a guide's timing.

Local Intel For Geos Ridge

Community notes to help plan your visit.

Scuba

Current-aware boat dive across ridge lines and rocky crevices; the route works best with a guide who can choose the calmer side of the day.

Freedive

Not a practical freedive target; the boat timing, current, and moving-water ridge profile suit scuba instead.

Snorkel

Not a snorkel-first site. The best part of the ridge sits below the surface and rewards a scuba plan.
