A local dive-center setup is the practical way to run house-reef dives here.
Tulip Resort House Reef is a jetty-entry house reef on the Marsa Alam coast, with a coral wall off the entry point and sand and coral gardens beyond it. It works well as an easy house-reef dive, snorkel, or check dive when the sea is calm and the resort can handle the entry. Hard coral, turtles, clownfish, morays, rays, and reef fish make the shallow section worthwhile before you choose how far to follow the wall. The deeper slope is there for longer profiles, but the simplest dive stays on the top reef.

Depth range, seasonality, and planning context.
Reported Depth
1m - 40m
Depth Note
The reef starts shallow off the jetty, drops to a wall around 12 m, then slopes into sand and coral gardens to 40 m.
Best Season
Year-round; calmer sea-state windows make the jetty entry and shallow reef easier.
Typical Conditions
Shallow-to-mid-depth house reef with a coral wall, sand transition, and a deeper slope for longer profiles.
Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.
Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Keep buoyancy tight over the coral edge, and treat the deeper wall as optional rather than the default route.
Access Restrictions
Best handled through the resort jetty and dive-center setup; entry and exit are easiest when the sea is calm.
Legal Notes
Follow the resort shore-diving rules and any local access controls that apply on the day.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Good for relaxed house-reef dives, check dives, and longer reef-wall loops if the group is comfortable staying shallow.
Freediving
Possible only on the shallow top, but the site is better as scuba or snorkel than as a dedicated breath-hold target.
Snorkeling
Strong fit for calm-water snorkeling along the shallow reef top and near the jetty access zone.
