About Gindang
Gindang is a boat-access macro site in central Komodo near Rinca. The dive follows a shallow sand-and-rubble slope with soft-coral patches, so the best approach is to move slowly and search the bottom rather than cover distance. It is one of the easier Komodo dives, with a relaxed feel and usually mild current. Macro photographers come here for patient close-up work and small-critters hunting.
