Tide-dependent shore dive with seals and anemones.
Brouwerssluis is a tide-dependent shore dive on the Brouwersdam's North Sea side. It works best at high water and after a few windless days, when the shoreline entry stays manageable and the lock area does not push the flow too hard. The site is shallow, sandy, and anemone-rich rather than coral-heavy, with crabs, flatfish, bass, cuttlefish, and the occasional seal adding interest. Low water and stronger current quickly make it a poor choice, so timing is the whole dive here.

Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Beware old fishing lines and shifting current direction near the sluice.

Legal Notes
Use the public beach access, stay away from the lock itself, and watch for fishing activity.
