About Dijkval
Dijkval is an exposed Oosterschelde shore dive in Zeeland built around an oyster bank and the remnants of old dike failures. The best structure sits on the shallow edge of the bank, where crabs, galathea and flatfish hold station among the shells, but the site turns demanding once the tide starts running or the visibility drops. Plan it for low water and expect a rough entry over the dike wall, limited facilities and a dive that suits experienced Zeeland divers more than casual beginners.

Dive only at low water, watch the strong current, and check for temporary shellfish-fishing closures before you go. The entry is rough and the route needs tight buoyancy near the oyster bank.
Access Restrictions
Limited parking, a 150 m walk, and a Muralt wall climb are part of the entry. Temporary shellfish-fishing closures can also stop diving.
