About HMNZS Canterbury (Wreck)
The HMNZS Canterbury was decommissioned in March 2005 and later scuttled on 3 November 2007 in Deep Water Cove in the Bay of Islands, creating an artificial reef wreck dive. The wreck’s exterior is developing increasing marine growth and sea life, supported by a Rahui (marine protected area) over Deep Water Cove.
