Exposed Papatura wall with strong current and reef sharks.
Dolphin Outer wall is a boat-access wall dive about ten minutes west of Papatura, stretching along an exposed open-ocean face with colorful coral growth. The wall is defined by tidal movement and strong water flow, so the dive feels more like an active ocean wall than a sheltered reef stroll. Parrotfish, triggerfish, clownfish, nudibranchs, reef sharks, and scorpionfish all show up in the structure, making it a strong choice for divers who like current, color, and a long wall to work along.

Site Conditions
Safety Notes
Plan around the tide, stay controlled in the swell, and keep appropriate respect for sharks and stonefish in the wall cracks.
Access Restrictions
Boat access from Papatura is the normal approach, and timing the dive around tide and weather is part of the plan.
Legal Notes
Use the resort briefing and any local reef rules; the site is an exposed ocean wall rather than a casual shore swim.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Wall dive spanning roughly 500 m with depths from 5 to 30 m.
Freediving
Only the shallower sections suit breath-hold work; the wall and the current are primarily a scuba objective.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is not the main use here because the most interesting features sit on the wall and in the current.
