Long Beach Simons Town
Long Beach is a sheltered harbour dive with protection from many winds and waves, making it a popular shore entry. The site reaches a maximum depth of about 18 m and is described as a great shore dive. Divers can encounter a variety of marine life including octopus and stingrays, along with other local species such as pineapple fish, crown crab, blue fin gurnard, shaggy sea hare, biscuit skate, sea squirts, and box jellyfish. Sharks are said to be uncommon here.
