Punta las Cañas is a volcanic El Hierro dive on the edge of the marine reserve, reached by boat from La Restinga. The route follows lava tongues and tube-like structure that drop from a light-filled plateau into deeper water, so the profile feels more dramatic as you move away from the coast. It is usually an easy dive, but current can make the site more demanding and sometimes pushes the route east. Expect dense fish life, rays, barracuda, tuna, groupers, and good macro along the rock.
