Advanced boat dive with mantas and strong current.
South Tip is a boat-access current reef at the southern tip of Racha Noi, built around huge granite boulders, a manta cleaning-station ridge, and steeper outer faces that drop away fast. It is one of Phuket's signature advanced dives: rewarding when the tide and flow line up, but only for divers who are comfortable reading current and following a drift-style profile.

Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.
Key Hazards
Safety Notes
Strong current is present at all times; recommended for advanced divers only.
Access Restrictions
Operators usually reserve South Tip for advanced-certified divers because the current can be strong and changeable.
Legal Notes
Standard Racha day trips do not normally carry a national park fee, but you still follow the boat operator's schedule and briefings.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Advanced-level dive due to persistent strong current; features large rock formations from shallow to ~40 m.
Freediving
Not recommended for casual freediving; the current and depth make it a scuba-first site for most visitors.
Snorkeling
Not a snorkelling site. The exposed boulder field and strong current make surface-only use impractical except in very calm conditions.
