About This Dive Spot

The Tug Orange is an 80-foot steel-hulled tugboat located upright at a depth of 45 feet. It is part of the Pinellas County Artificial Reef Program and was originally constructed in 1903 for use in New York Harbor, primarily to push railroad barges. Divers can expect to encounter a variety of marine life typical of the Gulf of Mexico, including species such as stingrays, snapper, triggerfish, and hogfish.
