Munda and Roviana Lagoon are the Solomon Islands at day-boat scale: remote, reef-rich, and still practical enough for a land-based dive week. Operators use Munda as a base for Blanche Channel walls, Shark Point, Mbigo Mbigo, Tombatuni Point, WWII aircraft wrecks, mangrove passages, and shallow snorkel reefs. It is a better fit for adventurous divers than resort-shore-diving travelers: boats, weather, local permission, and kastom access shape the plan. The reward is huge biodiversity, uncrowded reefs, large gorgonian fans, sharks, turtles, bumphead parrotfish, occasional manta or eagle rays, and cultural topside days to Skull Island, village sites, WWII museums, and market life. Dry season from May to October is the easiest overall window, while diving can work year-round when operators pick protected routes.
