Punta Arena Canyons is a boat-access advanced dive north of Ambergris Caye where reef ridges break into vertical canyon walls, a narrow tunnel line, and sand channels. It suits guided scuba divers who are comfortable with overhead terrain and changing sea conditions, because swell and surge can make the cut feel exposed when the weather turns. The payoff is a more exploratory route than a flat reef, with nurse sharks, jacks, groupers, barracuda, turtles, and crabs around the reef edges.
