Shinaria Beach is a shore dive near Plakias where a wide sandy entry gives way to rocky walls, ledges, and cavey reef edges. The route can stay shallow near the sand or run deeper along the wall, so the site works more as a terrain-and-marine-life dive than a flat beach hop. Summer shelter often makes the bay one of the calmer places on the south coast, and the road and beach setup keep the day easy to organize. Expect morays, octopus, groupers, turtles, and very clear water.

Safety Notes
Includes underwater caves and deep wall diving; plan dives within training and limits appropriate to the chosen route.
Access Restrictions
The approach road is narrow, and beach parking can pinch on busy days.

Scuba Diving
Shinaria works well as a shore dive that can stay shallow or be routed deeper along the wall, so it fits both training-style dives and more experienced route choices.
Freediving
The sandy entry and shallow edge can work for shallow freediving, but the deeper wall route is better left to scuba.
Snorkeling
The wide sandy entry and calm-water beach can make snorkeling pleasant near shore on settled days, though the best terrain sits farther out.
