Usually planned as a boat drift with a Gun Beach finish; easiest in calm seas, while swell and a rocky shoreline make the site less forgiving once conditions build.

About Fai Fai

Fai Fai is a north Guam reef drift that is usually run by boat and finished toward Gun Beach, giving newer divers an easy look at Tumon's outer reef when the sea is settled. The route follows shallow coral structure with steady turtle and reef-fish traffic rather than a complicated navigation plan. It is best timed for calm weather because swell and surface movement make the beach side rockier and less forgiving once conditions build. In calm water, the same reef edge also works for confident snorkelers.

Local Intel For Fai Fai

Community notes to help plan your visit.

Scuba

Most scuba dives are run as a gentle boat drift that follows the reef toward Gun Beach. The appeal is an easy moving dive with turtles and reef fish when the sea state is cooperative.

Snorkel

In calm conditions the reef starts close enough to shore for a rewarding snorkel, but the beach side is rockier and more tide- and swell-sensitive than central Tumon.
